The procurement phase for the construction of the Polish Test Dike within DREGDIKES project to be constructed in Trzcinsko near Gdansk has ended in May 2012. The final project specifies a dike 3m high, with inclination of 1:2. The construction material consists of 70%  of ash and 30% of dredged sand from Vistula River. Below the 3D view of the Test Dike is presented.

There is an optimized sheet-pile wall, which separates the research section of the dike in the final project. The stability and erosion protection of the dike is ensured by a 0,5m layer of the strengthening ash-based material (see Fig.2). Under the whole test dike body there is a 0,5m layer of clay for environmental separation. The construction works will start in June this year.
