4th DredgDikes Workshop Gdańsk

The 4th DredgDikes Workshop and Steering Group Meeting was held at the University of Technology in Gdansk, 27-28 November 2012. The workshop on the first day was a great success. Associated partners and project stakeholders from Poland and Germany showed keen interest in the project progress. Both the Polish and German project progress were reported by 5 presentations followed by an animated discussion. During the afternoon excursion the Polish test dike was visited. Presently the test dike is filled with water to gain first measurement results with respect to the infiltration of water into the dike core. On the second day the 4th steering group meeting was held with the partners disussing the further stages of the project and possibilities for the prolongation of the project, which will be necessary because of a considerable delay due to the wet summer 2011 (see previous posts).
