Rostock Test Dike – Planning Finished

The Planning of the Rostock test dike has now been finished. The procurement phase for the planned construction in August 2011 has already started. The following images present the final plans for the test dike on the spoil field Radelsee in Rostock/ Markgrafenheide.

Cross-sections A and B, homogenous dikes with dredged sandy organic silt, drainage composits, rolled erosion control products and geosynthetic armour.

Cross-sections D-E with sand core (dredged sand with silt) and top-layer from dredged organic silt. Different thickness of top-layer. Rolled erosion control product.

Cross-section H homogenous with dredged organic silt and geosynthetic reinforcement for crack minimization. Cross-section I with sand core (pure dredged sea sand) and top layer from dredged organic silt. Geosynthetic reinforcement and rolled erosion control solution.

Plan of the experimental setup.
