Latvian State Environmental Service (SES) is a state institution under supervision of the Ministry of the Environment of the Republic of Latvia. State Environmental Service carries out supervision and control of the implementation and enforcement of state requirements in the field of environmental protection, pollution prevention, e.g. waste management, and control in the territory of Latvia and continental shelf, economic zones of the Baltic Sea and Riga Gulf, territorial waters and inland waters.

Role in the Project

In the project the Latvian State Environmental Service will provide technical assistance and support for the application of the project results in Latvia. It will also assist in the dissemination of the project results in all three Baltic States and use the best practise guideline in future projects. It will be a member of the support and communication network.
