The Baugrund Stralsund Ing. mbH is a local and internationally active company for geotechnical field and laboratory testing and consulting since 1950. The handling and re-use of organic soils and dredged materials and geotechnical consulting for spoil fields in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania is one of the main business segments.

Role in the Project

Baugrund has been involved in the project “Drigge” in 2008/09 and gained additional experience with the respective dredged materials. As a geotechnical laboratory Baugrund will later be responsible for the testing of dredged materials used in dike construction and thus its knowledge contribution to an international guideline and their dissemination capability will be particularly advantageous for the project.

• contribute our know-how on fine grained dredged materials to the project.
• support the project partners in preparing the geotechnical testing chapters of the best practice guideline.
