DredgDikes Pilot Dike Completed
The pilot dike construction at the Körkwitzer Bach near Ribnitz-Damgarten, approximately 40 km north-east of Rostock, has been completed.

5th DredgDikes Steering Group Meeting and Workshop
The fifth DredgDikes steering group meeting and workshop was held in Rostock, 17-18 December 2013. The meeting was organised in the Penta Hotel, directly in the city centre. After a short summary about the project progress, in which six presentations were held, two group discussion workshops were organised.
Construction of the DredgDikes Pilot Dike started
The construction of the pilot dike construction at the Körkwitzer Bach near Ribnitz-Damgarten, 30 km North-East of Rostock, finally started in December 2013. The construction is planned to be finished by the end of February 2014, depending on the weather conditions.
Extended Deadline for Gdansk Conference Abstracts
NEW and FINAL deadline to submit abstracts for the South Baltic Conference on Dredged Materials in Dike Construction is now January 15, 2014.
DredgDikes Visited PRISMA in the UK
On Tuesday 12 November a delegation of the DredgDikes project from Gdansk visited the Salhouse Broad, wherethe central theme is the beneficial re-use of dredged sediment for habitat creation and bank protection.
On Wednesday 13 November a trip was organised to the Hardley Dike where the dredging and dewatering trial was presented, with the BMS Submersible pump and geotunnel in action.
